Barcelona Director Reveals Why the Club Is Struggling to Sign Attacking Player
Barcelona director Robert Fernandez has admitted that the Catalan club is having trouble signing attacking players this summer, suggesting that many seem to be intimidated by having to compete with Lionel Messi, Neymar and Luis Suarez for a place in the team.
So far, Barça have only completed the signing of defenders Samuel Umtiti and Lucas Digne, while exercising a buy-back clause that has also seen developing midfielder Denis Suarez return after two years at Villarreal.
"We have such a good team that it's difficult to sign players. We have a top team with a brilliant dressing room," Fernandez is quoted as saying by Goal.com.
